How platform checks actually work
Uber, Lyft, and delivery platforms use FCRA-regulated commercial screeners (Checkr and peers) that pull county and state records — reporting arrests, dismissals, deferreds, and convictions as the public record shows them. Violent, sexual, and recent driving-related offenses are the hard bars; plenty of drivers are deactivated over entries far softer than that.
This is the arena where Texas remedies work at full strength: both expunction and nondisclosure cut commercial screeners off from the record, and the FCRA obliges vendors to correct reports once you dispute with the court order. Cleared record, clean report, reactivated account — that's the pipeline.
Continuous monitoring cuts both ways

Often yes: expunge the eligible case, dispute the vendor's report with the order, and reapply. Screeners must stop reporting expunged records, and platforms follow their vendors.
Does sealing work for gig apps, or only expunction?
Both work against commercial screeners — nondisclosure blocks private-party access. Expunction is stronger where you qualify, but sealing alone typically cleans a platform check.
